Battle of the Bands/Artists

Every year, ktru puts on a “Battle of the Bands” event which invites bands and solo artists to perform live on the Rice campus.  The winner of this contest is announced and publicized via ktru and various media.  Additionally the winner also wins a spot in the annual ktru outdoor show!  The only qualification limitation placed on bands/artists is that the act must be Rice affiliated.  To be clear, that means that a performing member of the act must be a student, faculty member, staff member or alumnus.

KTRU is also working with RPC and the Pub to develop a concert series in the pub in the spring semester that feature Rice artists.  More information concerning the Battle of the Bands and the concert series will be forthcoming in the near future.
