hey ktru fans! tomorrow (thursday, april 28th) at 6am, we will cease broadcasting over our fm signal.
it is a sad end of an era... but we will continue to broadcast our programming over the internet and on 90.1 HD-2. so if you love listening over the air, you should go out and buy an HD radio! best buy has some options, but there are many other retailers as well. keep entering our radio giveaways too - we've already given away a bunch!
thanks for listening. our final days on 91.7fm have been memorable. in these final 12 or so hours, we will undoubtedly continue to rock as well. long live ktru!

we received word today that the fcc has approved the transfer of ktru's license to u of h. you can view the fcc's formal decision here.
we are currently still broadcasting on 91.7fm, 91.5fm on rice u campus, on HD radio at kpft 90.1 HD-2, and streaming online. we will provide more information about how this decision will affect ktru's programming as soon as it becomes available.
thanks to everyone who showed up to the outdoor show this past weekend. special thanks to all the amazing bands who performed and all the people at ktru who made it happen. we'll be posting pictures soon!
