United Nations declares June 21st as the *Day of Yoga*. Be part of the 1st International Day of Yoga celebration in Houston on Sunday 6/21/15 from 8:30AM to 4PM @ George R Brown Convention Center, Exhibit Hall E, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX 77010. Sat 6/20: Representatives of 501 3(c) non-profits VYASA-Houston and Breathe The Cure will introduce yoga, its calming music and the soothing effect on the mind, body and soul.

Consul General Harish Parvathaneni invites Houstonians from all walks of life to celebrate the 1st International Day of Yoga. Event by: Consulate General of India, Houston in partnership with Patanjali Yogpeeth (USA), Sponsors and Supporting Organizations.

“Yoga” also refers to an inner science comprising of a variety of methods through which human beings can achieve union between the body and mind to attain self-realisation. The aim of Yoga practice (sādhana) is to overcome all kinds of sufferings that lead to a sense of freedom in every walk of life with holistic health, happiness and harmony.

On 6/6: Bhutanese refugee artist will talk about the *World Refugee Day* celebrated on 6/13 @ Univ of St. Thomas

Houston’s *World Refugee Day* will be celebrated on Saturday June 13th at the University of St. Thomas from 1pm to 4pm. This *free* event with free food is open to all. Kid zone is available too.
Bhutanese refugee artist Dhan Baraily who sings in Nepali and in Hindi will be on the show with event organizers. For more info about the event click here.
