An update on KTRU broadcasts.
This summer, Rice reopened campus in phases, leading up to the start of classes in late August. There were many health protocols, including a health and safety quiz relating to the material in the Student Media reopening plans. One major point in the reopening guidelines is that Rice is not allowing community members to access campus buildings, which includes KTRU access. Therefore, in reopening the station, it will only be accessible to students, faculty, and staff who will already be interacting with campus on a regular basis.
In addition, KTRU will not be able to host events and concerts this fall.
KTRU staff are working to make this year just as exciting and enjoyable for you all as ever, and we will come out of all of this stronger than ever.
