KTRU will be attending Lights All Night 2018 again, the Dallas premiere end of the year party. Nine years after its inaugural show, the EDM festival continues to carry on an annual tradition filled with hot acts, fresh faces and of course, bright lights. Once a traditional electronic music festival, LAN has now grown into an experiential transmedia event. Housed in Dallas Market Hall, the festival will run from Dec. 28 - 29. This year’s setlist is packed with hometown favorites and will be headlined by electronic music powerhouses Diplo and Tiësto. LAN hasn't been afraid to experiment; over the years, hip-hop has been sprinkled throughout the list of headliners. This year, Gucci Mane holds the spot for the festival’s major rap act. Listening to Gucci Mane’s “Wake Up in the Sky,” while playing Rocket League isn’t far fetched. DreamHack, “the Coachella of gaming,” has decided to collaborate with LAN before its official full scale event in mid-2019. The partnership will allow all LAN ticket buyers to receive a 20% discount on DreamHack Dallas’s inaugural event. The food that will be available for purchase is expected to include Texas’s top food vendors, including Houston’s own Muiishi Makirritos. LAN will be offering a cocktail (pun intended) of well known brands from Bud Light to Tito’s to wash it all down. From the flavorful food options, the banging music or the DreamHack gaming lounge, Lights All Night 2019 looks to have something for those ready to take the journey. This year’s festival is expected to be one for the records. We will be excited to cover the experience to its fullest capacity to see if Dallas might be the place for Houstonians to make the trek for New Years.
